Who are we?

Kanadam.com was created in 2005 as a portal with the mission of facilitating information sharing among Turkish populations in Canada and Turkey.

Kanadam.com was originally a voluntary initiative which offered users a platform to find information through an advanced website focused on studying, immigration as well as issues and information about living in Canada. However, as it grew, Kanadam.com evolved to focus primarily on educational consulting.

Since 2006, Kanadam.com specializes in delivering educational consulting services. We connect students who wish to study in Canada with Canadian educational institutions using our knowledge of the needs of Turkish students and our understanding of the Canadian educational marketplace.

Kanadam.com is based in Vancouver, Canada and offers services to students via online communication tools as well as its educational consultants located across Turkey.

Scope of Our Services

Kanadam.com offers students counseling services for their education in Canada and connects them with the right educational institution that will benefit them the most in achieving their educational goals.

Kanadam.com’s consulting services to students include:

Aggregating information on the Canadian post-secondary institutions and ESL schools;
Identifying candidate Canadian institutions that most closely match the student’s needs and expectations;
Assisting students in determining which schools they should apply to;
Providing students with thorough information about application processes;
Guiding students in preparation of program application documents and ensuring that all required documents are thoroughly completed;
Sending application package(s) to preferred institution(s) and facilitating communication between the institution(s) and students during the application process;
Allowing students to track the status of their application(s) on-line via Kanadam.com;
Assisting students in obtaining appropriate visa and study permits;
Ensuring that students are well-prepared for their trip to Canada;and,

Kanadam.com was created by individuals who have strengths in education, technology and business management. We commit our vision and expertise to the success of Kanadam.com. Our primary motivation is to add value and focus the business on fulfilling its mission. We also ensure that the company raises the bar for Education Consulting Companies’ service quality standards by developing innovative and elegant solutions that help connect students with Canadian educational institutions.

Furthermore, Kanadam.com’s management team is passionate about the work we do and is proud to support students in fulfilling their objectives to study in Canada. Following are the profiles of the people who are in our management team:

Gulcan Islam

Graduated from Faculty of Political Sciences at Istanbul University, Gulcan started her career as an educational counselor. Throughout her consulting experience she had the opportunity to enhance her understanding of Canadian education system and business environment. Her interest in education has led her to follow a path in business and educational administration studies in Canada. She completed a business certificate program at the University of Victoria and afterward attended the Master of Education program at the same university. As a masters student, her position with the British Columbia Ministry of Advanced Education further expanded her experience in the education field and has been a significant contribution to her professional development within an international and multicultural context.

Gulcan’s responsibilities at Kanadam.com include managing international operations and logistics.

Tankut Kaya

After obtaining his engineering degree from Istanbul Technical University in 1997, Tankut lived and worked in various countries across the Middle East. During this period of time, Tankut conducted international business with the United Nations which helped him expand his global vision. He then moved to Canada in 2003 to pursue his Masters of Business Administration degree at the University of Victoria. Since graduation, Tankut has been working in Canada as a Project Consultant focusing on project, knowledge and quality management.

His responsibilities at Kanadam.com include strategic planning and implementation as well as managing international marketing and sales.

Erinc Mullaoglu

Erinc moved to Canada from Turkey in 2001 to pursue his university education in computer science and economics. As a student in Halifax, Victoria and Vancouver, Erinc understands both the rewards and challenges of studying abroad. Erinc was an active member of the Turkish Community in Vancouver Island, founding the Turkish Students Association at University of Victoria in 2004 and acting as a Vice President in Vancouver Island Turkish-Canadian Friendship Society in 2005. His role at these organizations allowed him to interact with Turkish groups closely and helped him gain experience in dealing with their challenges of living and studying in Canada. Erinc has five years of web design and development experience, and established his internet solutions company in 2005.

Erinc’s responsibilities at Kanadam.com include managing technology and online marketing as well as providing operational support.
